The first time you look at the Christian Motorcyclists Association, you realize that something very real is happening here. The CMA is more than a motorcycle club, more than a source of freedom and entertainment for its worldwide
membership. It is a ministry that goes beyond the doors of the church, past the comfort zone, and into the world. They ride out transported by chrome and steel, driven by the Word, and armed with the truth.
While there are many arms to the ministries outreach, the main focus of each year’s activities is the annual Run for the Son. Through this event millions of people have been reached around the world. Sixty percent of the money raised by Run for the Son goes to fellow ministries, and as a result hope has found multitudes in hundreds of countries. The rest goes to equip the CMAs efforts in spreading the gospel of Jesus. In nineteen years the organization has raised over $24 million for this purpose.
Other events include the Pastors Retreat which is happening the 27 – 29th of this month at Iron Mountain in Hatfield Arkansas. This event is designed to provide spiritual renewal for pastors and includes music, fellowship, and special speakers.
This July is the National East Rally at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray, Tennessee. During this event which lasts July 17 – 21, will be the Run for the Son Recognition & Awards, as well as music, youth activities, and on site camping.
